What People are Saying About Sherri Elliott-Yeary

Thank you for speaking at  our  Women's History Month Program.  Many of the attendees have stopped me in the hall to let me know how much they  genuinely enjoyed the program.  You were real – the audience connected  with you as well as your message. Not only did we walk away with useful tools to help us "reframe" our thoughts on what "having it all" means, we left happy and inspired!  That was added bonus, so again I thank you.

It was truly a pleasure to work with you on this program and I look forward to working with you on future projects.  Have a great week!

Sherri spoke at our Outside Sales Summit to our Franchise Partners and center sales force. She was very engaging with the audience, helped them learn about generational differences and different approaches in the sales environment. The participants found it opened their eyes to new dynamics and many requested that we invite her back to our annual convention. We are excited to have her back at our next event.

Sherri Elliott-Yeary was a delight! She was energetic, fun, and provided a fresh perspective on a potentially touchy topic. Her vast knowledge of how multi-generational environments work really allowed Sherri to apply intriguing examples that made sense to our members and every-day work life. We look forward to working with Ms. Elliott-Yeary in the future. I give her my highest recommendation as a speaker and as an expert in her field.

Employees at our corporate office are committed to serving our hospital-based employees and physicians so that we can fulfill our mission of improving the quality of life of every patient that enters our doors. Creating a service-centric corporate environment means making sure our employees feel strong connections with our company, their colleagues and the community in which we serve. To strengthen these connections, we invited Sherri to speak at one of our Leadership & Learning events.

Sherri’s presentation was not only informative but entertaining. Her keen insight into the differences between the various generations was enlightening and certainly resonated with our employees. Her strategies for building bridges between the different generations were practical and actionable and we look forward to leveraging what we learned.

We were delighted to have Sherri Elliott-Yeary as a Featured Presenter during our 2010 JA You're Hired! Workplace Skills Challenge. She actively engaged the audience, helped them learn about generational differences in a relevant and dynamic way. She was also able to quickly build rapport and inspire the students to succeed. Sherri was a delight and an outstanding speaker. She was very engaging and well received by the audience. She has spoken to our chapter on more than one occasion and we have received very positive feedback from our attendees. It is rare to find someone who is not only an expert in their field, but can also convey that knowledge to others.

Sherri has presented to our Texoma SHRM chapter on two different occasions.  Her insight into handling multi-generational workforces was so helpful, the group specifically requested her as the key-note speaker at our annual HR Conference.  Sherri brings a vast range of experiences and knowledge to her energetic and dynamic presentations. Taking into account both her personal and professional qualifications, as well as her demonstrated expertise, I highly recommend her for professional development opportunities within your organization.

Sherri's combined generational perspective and HR expertise is critical in today's times as the workforce transitions from Baby Boomers soon leaving to Millennials who may be skeptical about participating in traditional employment with a company. Sherri is a business visionary who can help audiences quickly grasp the concepts of workforce generational make up, strategic succession planning, and the consequences of apathy in these regards. Not only does her message resonate with the audience, but her presentation style is also entertaining and memorable.

I am a Ukrainian exchange student who had an opportunity to attend your presentation. As a representative of the Millennial generation, I think it is of the utmost importance to start branding yourself as early as possible. I think your presentation was one of the most interesting I have attended in my life. I really liked the examples with your daughter! Thank you very much!

As we expanded from a company of five people to eighty-five people, we partnered with Sherri and Optimance to help us with the types of growing pains you’d expect in an organization that’s getting larger. She helped us create an HR framework that has enabled us to be successful. Even though we outsource her services, we feel like we have an in-house HR department because of the way Sherri and her staff communicate with us.

"Sherri has a passion for what she does. She’s intelligent, well informed, and current. It’s a breath of fresh air talking to her. She’s accessible, and she cares about you. I’ve dealt with enough business professionals to know that’s just not common. I would highly recommend Sherri and Optimance to anyone.

Sherri mentored me while I was working as an HR Professional at a construction company. I had two years of HR experience when I took that position, but Sherri encouraged me to seek a position with a more sophisticated company that had the resources to help develop my skills and knowledgebase. As I explored my options, Sherri was a wonderful sounding board who helped me see my situation clearly and realistically. Because of Sherri, I was able to get a job at Mary Kay, and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks, Sherri!

I got the sense right away that Sherri understood our company, our size and we weren't just a number to her. She really was interested in helping us attain our goals.

I knew I could hire an HR person to come in, but my decision was to co-source with you. I think you gain a higher level of objectivity. It was an easy choice to make when I knew that your team had an understanding of our business when you physically went and talked to my people and you did not want to just talk to me. I knew we were going to be in good hands.

Sherri’s capabilities combined with her exceptional understanding of HR issues provided Thomas Reprographics, Inc. with an unmatched quality component that allowed us to reduce internal headcount by 2FTE’s within HR. With her guidance and involvement we were able to attract and retain quality candidates while in acquisition mode.

I gave your book to one of our department millennials to read over the weekend – and he LOVED it – said it was the best book he’s read in the past year! I now have a new ‘marketing director’ for your event! He said he won’t miss your workshop for the world!

Sherri came to our bank to deliver her “Collaboration vs. Collision” presentation to our employees, which was very well-received. She has an engaging, outgoing speaking style which draws you in, and she’s a wonderful story-teller. She brought different cards with examples of different situations which might cause generational conflict, and we broke into groups to work through these examples. Each group was comprised of people from different generations, and it was amazing to see people of all different ages working together to think through their differences and brainstorm about what strengths they could pull from each other to collaborate and maximize their potential. This presentation will absolutely make a difference to our business moving forward.

I attended your workshop in Norman last week and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it.  I thought the presentation was great!!  I am in need of doing something with our careers section on our website.  What we have is horribly put together and I have been told by many that they apply online and I never get the application.  I really liked what you did for Winstar.  Can you tell me if you did that or you had someone put it together?  Our IT person has messed with it but it is still not where it needs to be.  Any help you can give would be great.  Also please put me on your email list if you are ever back in Oklahoma.  Would love to have a few others come and see you!!

Sherri Yeary captured the hearts of our audience of 150 high school teachers and counselors with her wit and relevant personal stories.  With a world of difference among the generations, Sherri offered valid strategies for communicating across the generational barriers. This topic is relevant for today's workforce, and Sherri does an exceptional job of relating to the audience.  Thanks for addressing multi-generational issues in the workplace!

I have invited Sherri to speak to several originations including the Dallas Area Gerontological Society (DAGS) and the Rotary Club of the Park Cities.  Sherri was very engaging and informative and could speak effectively to the entire audience.  Her audio and visual were easy to understand and entertaining.  I would recommend Sherri to any organization as a pioneer in her field.

Sherri’s presentation on generational differences hit home with many of our employees. We tend to believe that if someone works differently than we do, then they are not as effective or productive. Sherri taught us that people from different generations approach work from a wide variety of avenues and that is okay. We need to value, promote and celebrate our differences!

Sherri, it was such a pleasure to hear you speak at last Thursday's Women's Leadership Summit.  It is encouraging to know that someone outside of the "WHY" generation not only understands, but seeks to educate others on the differences between working styles and motivations of the divergent generations.
